About Me

Just a little bit about me....

I am just a regular girl with a family of two teenagers at home. I was quite athletic 13 years ago, then about 8 years ago I got really sick.  I lost all energy-even climbing one flight of steps to get to my office taxed me and I often had to stop on the landing to catch my breath and find the energy to climb the rest of the way.  It was really odd...literally one week I'd run 6 miles a day like it was nothing and swim a mile or two in the ocean for fun and the next week, I couldn't climb the steps.

After seeing many western doctor specialists I finally resorted to a holistic doctor. She recommend a test and then diagnosed me almost immediately. I spent about 6 months eating only dark leafy green veggies with lots and lots of iron (interpret as lots of steak salads) and taking many different holistic things along with chiropractic adjustments, but I improved and healed.

Unfortunately, after those months I had packed on some pounds, started a new job, and generally was really out of shape and now lost all my free time due to the new job.  Thus my health would continue to decrease and my fitness would unravel.  Thus I added 35+ pounds, probably pre-diabetic but didn't want to be confirmed so I didn't get tested, and developed plantar faciitis.

After another 7 YEARS....I know I'm a slow learner...my home environment had changed enough that i felt it was time to get my health back but now I have a huge hole to dig myself out of. I was truly committed this time...I committed myself by hiring a personal trainer because if I knew if I had spent the money that I would DO it. I also sought out a specialist to help me recover from the plantar.

As I write this, I still am working with the trainer and the specialist, my plantar faciitis still is there every morning when I step out of bed.  UGH!  Neither trainer allows me to walk or jog for cardio exercise but limits me to stair climber or spin classes.  Let me tell you...neither of those things are very exciting for me. On the positive side, I have lost 12 pounds, and my foot has drastically improved.  My foot feels like I've hit a healing plateau and I'm really hoping that the oils make the last bit of difference.

Well that's a bit about me, hope you enjoyed it and I hope to get to know about you too!
